In 1990, Arrow Books reissued The Lymond Chronicles and King Hereafter in the UK with cover graphics by an illustrator better known for his work in the fantasy genre. In this issue of Whispering Gallery, we have an interview with the artist and learn how those covers came to be produced.
The short story competition launched earlier this year by the
Historical Writers’ Association in collaboration with the Dorothy
Dunnett Society proved a great success, with nearly 170 entries
submitted. We are delighted to publish the winning story.
